Nairobi Railway Museum

๐Ÿ† #1 of 64 spots in Nairobi ๐Ÿ‘ฅ 1 Visitor ๐Ÿ’ฐ Inexpensive ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Museum
The Nairobi Railway Museum is a museum located just next to the Central Railway Station, where all the old locomotives that were used by the British colonialists are kept. In addition to that, you can find some old artifacts, such as the seats and cutlery used in those trains, as well as pictures taken during the construction of the Kenya-Uganda Railway. It is a great resource center if you are a train nerd, and if not, it's still a great playground for you to walk around and chill. The cabins are open for you to walk around, sit down and imagine yourself in the 1900s, chugging down the old meter-gauge railway from Mombasa to Nairobi, looking out at the safari, with Hemingway on your side. Entry fee is ksh 200 bob, so make your way there!
