KultureKlub: African Film

This coming Wednesday, September 9, Kulture Klub returns to The MIST for another evening of Afrikan Sinema. Kicking off the evening is MGENI (2025), a short film directed by Natasha Ayoo produced by Theresia Kyalo. The film draws from the Swahili philosophy, “Mgeni kumpokea kumbe ni kujitongea” - the idea that to fully receive a guest is to inevitably offer up a vulnerable piece of yourself. This month, our curation explores Neocolonialism. Join us from 6 PM to 11 PM, as we gather to watch and share our thoughts and feelings of how we experience the films🌍🎬 RSVP to attend - https://airtable.com/appOsfrfqenOFpmun/pagRv9aI7CyU49tI5/form
