The Giraffe Center is one of Nairobi’s most iconic attractions, offering a unique and up-close experience with the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Located in Lang’ata, just a short drive from the city center, this conservation center is the perfect mix of education, wildlife, and fun.

Here, you can feed the giraffes by hand, learn about their conservation efforts, and even get a gentle nuzzle (or a giraffe kiss!) if you're lucky. The elevated wooden platform brings you to their eye level, making for incredible photos and unforgettable moments.

Beyond giraffe interactions, the center has a nature trail, perfect for a relaxed walk through indigenous forest, where you might spot birds and smaller wildlife.

Karen Blixen Museum is located in the former home of Danish author Karen Blixen, in the Karen suburb of Nairobi, along Karen Road. Blixen lived here from 1917 to 1931 while running a coffee plantation. The house, now a museum, offers a fascinating glimpse into her life in Kenya, with personal belongings, photographs, and artifacts from her time. Blixen’s experiences, which she documented in her memoir Out of Africa, were famously adapted into an award-winning film of the same name. The film won several Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The museum also features rooms that reflect the colonial-era lifestyle, set within beautifully maintained gardens, with views of the Ngong Hills. It’s a serene place to learn about Blixen’s legacy and the story behind her remarkable life in Kenya.
